Overflow starts 4pm 7th April – A Time to Connect – A Space to Reflect – 1st Sunday of the Month

We are excited to tell you about a new monthly event starting at St Peter’s – “Overflow”. Overflow is not another service, but more of an extension of your Sunday afternoon where everyone is welcome. It starts at 4pm and finishes around 5.30pm at St Peter’s Church Hall Free St. Bishops Waltham.

We want to create a relaxing, comfortable space where you can take time to reflect and connect with others in a different way from what we might normally consider church to be. A typical Overflow will look like this:

  • On arrival chill out or be active, you choose – have a coffee with the paper, knit or chat with cake on our sofas. Or if you’d rather, we have everything from Table Tennis and Pool to Chess, Scrabble and Sushi Go. We even have some old school computer games available for the technology lovers.
  • Praise, Word and Reflect – after that we will have some music and singing, some videos on topics important to everyone’s daily life and then some time to reflect on things. It’s all completely optional and informal.
  • Tea is on us – we’ll finish off with a simple meal so you don’t have to rush home and make something.

We are hoping this will be something that appeals to all, especially the often forgotten and not catered for groups of the secondary school age, twenties, thirties and families.  Please join us for Overflow and invite friends and family along – your weekend couldn’t finish in a better place.
