At St Peters we run various parenting courses for parents and carers of children aged from babies right through to the teenage years. They are held in a very informal and relaxed environment, usually in the leaders home and always include tea, coffee and cake!
The course programmes we use for our courses are from the Family Caring Trust. They cover a variety of issues ranging from dealing with the pressures of everyday life, eating and sleep habits, confidence and self esteem and relationships between their peers and parents.
Each session follows a similar pattern and begin each one with a drink and some cake, followed by watching a short DVD and an informal discussion. There are also opportunities to discuss topics in small groups and to share parenting experiences in a safe and friendly environment.
