ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Volunteer Helpers/Leaders

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: FCY Worker, Helpers, Parents/Carers, Children, Youth, Families

QUALIFICATIONS: None specifically, but personal/professional skills are really helpful

EXPERIENCE: Committed Christian e.g., Worship, Home Groups, Groups/Activities

We are a warm hearted and lively church in Hampshire.

We are looking for practical support in the running of our Family, Children and Youth Groups.

We are seeking someone who would enjoy this ministry and is a committed Christian.

Our aim is to love, engage and disciple parents/carers, children, young people and families.

 

Groups and Activities (before/start…..indicative with some flexibility needed)

Tuesdays

8:45am-10:15am (1.5hrs) Teeny Tinies (Tots Group) (St Peter’s Church Hall)

10am-1pm (1.5hrs)             Coffee and Chat (Blessed Mary Church) (Alternate weeks)

 

Wednesdays

9am-10:30noon (1.5hrs) Garden Gang (Tots Group)  (St Peter’s Rectory Summer, Church Winter)

Thursdays

9am-11am                          Butterflies (Tots Group) (Blessed Mary Church)

 

Sunday’s (before/during/after)

9am-12noon (3 hrs)        Sunday Funday (2nd Sunday) (Blessed Mary Church)

3:30pm-5:30pm (2 hrs)  Sunday Funday (3rd Sunday) (St Peter’s Church)

4:30pm-6:30pm (2 hrs)  GWNN Youth Group

 

Annual

8 hours 3 times per year - St Peter’s Family/Children Events

8 hours 3 times per year - Blessed Mary Family/Children Events

 

Who we are looking for – skills and experience

To set up before sessions

To prepare and serve refreshments and snacks

To help welcome parents/carers, children, young people and families

To support the FCY Worker and others in any creative preparation

To take part in meetings and prayer before groups and generally

 

You will need to undertake an EDBS check and complete safeguarding training.

 

The post has a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the holder to be a committed Christian in agreement with the basis of the Church of England and worldwide Anglican Communion e.g., Book of Common Prayer, 39 Articles, Ordinal and CEEC statement of faith. The post is subject to EDBS checks and keeping up to date with training
